Love is Universal

Not only is Vegas the go-to for entertainment, it is also the Wedding Capital of the World. Whether you are looking to get married by Elvis, want a spectacular view from high atop The Foundation Room, or any of dozens of informal or romantic venues, Vegas offers something for everyone.

Most of the hotels are known for their diversity and equality toward the LGBTQ community, but this year MGM went the extra mile, releasing Universal Love, a soundtrack of re-imagined wedding songs with reversed pronouns recorded by Bob Dylan, Valerie June, Kele Okereke, St. Vincent, Benjamin Gibbard, and Kesha.

Amid the casinos and bright lights, you can find an authentic Southern Delta juke joint atmosphere at House of Blues Las Vegas®. Located in the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, this incredible space is the perfect location to host your ceremony, reception, wedding or rehearsal dinner. Featuring the only non-enclose view of the Strip at Foundation Room atop Mandalay Bay on the 63rd floor makes it an idyllic backdrop for a center stage wedding! Enjoy in-house catering, seated venue options accommodating 30-200.

Vegas can also be the place to host your bachelor/bachelorette party! Many of the male revue shows now allow performers to “treat every chair equally,” including Aussie Heat and Chippendales. Both are making an effort to embrace the community by attending local LGBTQ events and pulling all kinds of people up on stage during their shows.

Southern California has great options for beach weddings. Malibu, Long Beach, and San Diego will give you and your special someone the perfect backdrop for reciting your vows.

Wherever you decide to profess your love, always remember the road we took to gain equality. We appreciate the businesses and allies that support diversity and inclusion, making the world a more loving place for all of us.
