The incredible talent line-up for LA Pride 2019

With a message of inclusiveness and the theme #JUSTUNITE, the City of Angels is again gearing up for another LA Pride Festival and Parade. With all-star talent newly announced and a revamped space to accommodate the massive influx of attendees, LA Pride is set to be a happening weekend.

LA Pride 2018: One for the record books!

LA Pride 2018 saw so many attendees come that the festival has redesigned the space, acquired permits for more space, and have made a series of improvements to handle the massive popularity of Los Angeles Pride. A new block party-style type of space will expand the festival grounds to Santa Monica Blvd between San Vicente and Robertson, greatly increasing the available space for guests and vendors. This block party will be free for everyone from 12pm-7pm both Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.

There has also been added a program on Friday for visitors to LA Pride to attend—also free to the public at West Hollywood Park, June 7. This free evening of events will feature an official Opening Ceremony with community and spiritual leaders from a diverse arrangement, with LGBT advocates and supporters. Then, a series of entertainment options will also happen Friday night including DJs, dancing, WEHO Vogue Ball and Drag show, and surprise guests.

With the massive crowds who attended in 2018, Christopher Street West, the non-profit behind LA Pride, has taken even further strides to guarantee this is the best LA Pride, ever! Ticket sales and guest relations will be on Santa Monica Blvd as a separate location. More security teams will be and place and there will be more volunteer opportunities to help ensure there is ample staff onsite at the festival and parade. There will be more street closures for a better flow, and better American Disability Act accessibilities for guests visiting.

WorldPride 2019 announces sexy talent lineup - Pabllo Vittar

Meanwhile, the explosive talent Christopher Street West has lined up for this year’s LA Pride will knock your socks off. Pop sensation Meghan Trainor is set to headline one night at this year’s festival, while electro-pop band and sensation Years & Years will headline the other. Grammy winner and diva Ashanti will be performing, alongside Amara La Negra, Dej Loaf, Greyson Chance, MNEK, drag sensation Pabllo Vittar, and Ah-Mer-Ah Su, with more artists yet to be announced.

Years & Years

Years & Years is a massive, world-wide sensation of an electro-pop band hailing originally from the UK. Lead by lead singer Olly Alexander, who has been vocally candid about struggles with mental health and sexuality, Year & Years is emerging as the band of the millennial generation and one to follow, as they push boundaries of masculinity and femininity and what is queer versus not.  Years & Years have always been notable LGBT allies.

The queen of bubble gum pop, Meghan Trainor is also set to headline LA Pride, to much anticipation! Her smash hit “All About That Bass” broke records, earning diamond status, and gave the, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist a Grammy for best new artist. Since then, she’s had several hits, including “Me Too”, “No,” “Lips Are Moving,” “Just Got Paid” with Ella Eyre produced by Sigala, and “Dear Future Husband,” to name a few.

“To the entire LGBTQ+ community, I love you with all of my heart, I appreciate you endlessly and I support you with all that I have and believe in. I am there for you as you have been for me.” She wrote in an open letter in Billboard.
